The US FDA released Ticagrelor (Brilinta®, Astra-Zeneca) yesterday. This is the fourth oral anti-platelet drug designed to be used with low-dose aspirin, the others are ticlopidine, (Ticlid®, Roche), clopidogrel (Plavix®, Bristol-Meyers-Squibb), and prasugrel (Effient®, Lilly).
