National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF, formerly NHF) Conference, September 12–14, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation 76th Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference (BDC) will occur at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta. External Quality Control of Diagnostic Assays and Tests [ECAT] Foundation Symposium, September 26–27, 2024, Leiden, The Netherlands. This symposium is meant for biochemists, laboratory doctors, and scientists. It covers a wide range of topics related to laboratory diagnosis and quality within the context of thrombosis and hemostasis.


World Thrombosis Day is a global event held each year on October 13, the birthdate of Rudolph Virchow, a thrombosis pioneer. This year’s event occurs on Sunday, October 13.

2025 International Society for Laboratory Hematology annual meeting on May 7–9 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.


ISTH 2025 Congress: June 21–25, 2025, in Washington, DC, USA. The International Society for Thrombosis and Hemostasis announces Washington, D.C., as the host city for its 2025 Congress at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This will be the first in-person non-Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) meeting in the United States since the ISTH 2009 Congress in Boston. The ISTH formally announced in 2020 that the international meeting would be held annually, incorporating the highly valued components of the SSC meeting, making them more accessible to the wider community of thrombosis, hemostasis and vascular biology.
