Halifax and Nova Scotia

A personal note from George thanking the folks at Precision BioLogic Inc for their kind hospitality June 10-13 at the office in Dartmouth and for the good treatment I received at the Halifax Convention Center during the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science National Congress of Medical Laboratory Science, LABCON of 2011. While visiting, I had the opportunity to present “Hemophilia Therapy, from Rasputin to Recombinants” for PBI’s weekly “Lunch and Learn” on Friday, June 10; “Monitoring the New Anticoagulants: Whatever Happened to the PT and PTT?” (see Handout for LABCON) at LABCON on Saturday, and a series of coagulation case studies for 22 PBI sales and scientific staffers on Monday.

Margaret and I spent the remainder of the week touring beautiful Nova Scotia, visiting Halifax, Wolfville, Margaretsville, Annapolis Royal, the Bay of Fundy, Lunenberg, Mahone Bay, and Peggy’s Cove. Nova Scotia is a beautiful maritime province, the weather turned sunny, and the cool air was a welcome relief from Alabama heat and drought.
