ASCLS-Wisconsin Annual Meeting Handouts

The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Wisconsin Branch hosts their annual state convention on April 22–23, 2015, preceded by their Student Bowl on April 21. The meeting is scheduled for the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel and Convention Center in Appleton, and features many excellent hematology and hemostasis presentations, as evident from the attached program. Handouts are provided here for the following presentations:

  • "Coagulation Refresher," George Fritsma, Wednesday, April 22, 8–9. Click here for the handout.
  • Immediately followed by "Measuring the Direct Oral Anticoagulants, Whatever Happened to the PT and PTT ?," George Fritsma, Wednesday, April 22, 9:15–10:15. Click here for the handout.
  • At the same time, Bernadette Rodak presents her case-based, "Morphology in Action," Wednesday, April 22, 9:15–10:15. Click here for her completed presentation handout with the answers to her case study questions.
  • Bernadette Rodak and George Fritsma combine to present, "ASCLS Consumer Information Team," Wednesday, April 22, 3:30–4:30. The presentation provides cases gleaned from the online ASCLS Consumer Information Forum (click here for the preliminary handout), and like the Morphology presentation, the case study answers will be posted immediately following the presentation.
