Diane Deutsch Keahey writes, I need to teach factor assays, VWD tests, and VIII:C and lab tests for secondary disorders of hemostasis. Can you recommend a simple resource? Please and thank you.

Hello, Dr. Keahey. If you will pardon my self-reference, may I recommend our audio-visual PowerPoint educational modules. The modules are developed to go from simple to complex, and cover all the subjects you have listed here. Another easy-to-use source is our Quick Guide, Marques MB, Fritsma GA. Guick Guide to Hemostasis, 3rd Edition, 2015, AACC Press. The Quick Guide is available from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science member's store. For something a little more in-depth, I recommend a complete hematology textbook, Keohane, Smith and Walenga. Rodak's Hematology: Clinical Principles and Application, 2016, Elsevier.
