What is VASP-P?

Vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) is a ubiquitous vertebrate intracellular protein that becomes activated via phosphorylation. Once phosphorylated, VASP triggers cell motility through its interaction with the contratile protein actin. In platelets, VASP generates pseudopod formation during platelet activation.
