Von Willebrand factor [VWF] is crucial to platelet adhesion and proper effective coagulation. In addition, VWF appears to be associated with inflammation and sepsis. Experts Long Zheng, MD, PhD, Professor and Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center and George A. Fritsma, MS MLS, Proprietor of The Fritsma Factor, will explore the many aspects of VWF, including possible links to venous thrombosis, heart disease, stroke and the well documented relationship with ADAMTS13 in TTP.
